Success for Company’s First Apprentice

Dan Lycett, JCB Finance’s first apprentice has successfully passed his Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship which he signed up for upon joining the company in February 2018.

“Dan is our first formal Apprentice – making it an especially proud and memorable event; which has taken a lot of commitment to achieving whilst also maintaining a demanding job.” – Vanessa Poole, Head of H.R.

During the working week Dan spent 4 days learning on-the-job and one day a week dedicated to formal studies via virtual learning and practical classroom sessions. Dan was tested via exams, practical projects, evidence-based portfolio and finally, by a panel interview about his learning and knowledge.

“It’s great to learn on the job gaining valuable experience rather than being confined to a classroom. I have received great support from my colleagues in the IT team and I am looking forward to a bright future with JCB Finance” – Dan Lycett, IT Support Technician.

JCB Finance are looking forward to supporting more Apprenticeships in the future.
